Changing Seasons

This seasons clashing blocks of bold, rich colours and plenty of textures throughout the home are set to be the top trends in interior design for autumn/winter 2014.

As the nights draw in and we all spend more time indoors, warm and comforting textiles, tapestry and bark effects will appear prominently in soft furnishings such as rugs and cushions. Ornaments and accessories are set to feature a hammered or crumpled appearance to create texture.

Key vintage furniture pieces in opulent natural woods, or striking paint finishes will help you create a home makeover, fit for the coming season.

Be bold!

Add colours of rich reds, vibrant teals and greens, hot pinks; bronze is expected to be popular for its versatility, while adding a touch of glamour without the flamboyance of gold. It’s all about colour blocking this season, with vivid chlorophyll green clashing against hot pink, vibrant yellow and bright turquoise.
