RE:SOURCE Vintage has recently added a brand new range of creative craft workshops to their event calendar; working alongside the highly talented and multi-skilled tutor, Mandy Preddy, RE:SOURCE Vintage will be holding weekly workshops in store throughout the summer that will be open to all-comers of all abilities.
The local social enterprise RE:SOURCE Vintage aims to address social exclusion through informal, fun and creative workshops, a friendly atmosphere where you will have chance to learn a new hobby and meet new friends. You don’t have to have any previous craft experience, just bring along your enthusiasm and a smile!
Retail and Marketing Assistant Tara Jones explained:
“Through other reuse and refurbishment workshops RE:SOURCE has worked with people from many different backgrounds and recognises that an important part of the process of helping people to progress or develop their lives is social interaction.”
Tara continues:
“It helps to build a person’s confidence, provides a feeling of being valued and offers the chance to improve communication skills. We are encouraging this within the local community by using our Vintage shop as a hub, a meeting place for people to come and enjoy exchanging creative ideas, learn new skills and techniques, and explore new interests. “
